印度汽車工業
根據2022年的統計數據,按產量和估值計算,印度的汽車工業是世界第四大汽車工業[1][2][3]。截至2022年4月,印度汽車工業價值超過1000億美元,佔該國出口總額的8%以及GDP的7.1%[4]。截至2023年,就銷量而言,印度是世界第三大汽車市場[5]。
歷史
1897年,第一輛汽車在印度道路上行駛。至1930年代,所有汽車都是進口的,而且數量很少。1940年代,印度出現了一個萌芽的汽車工業。印度斯坦汽車公司於1942年開始為英國莫里斯汽車代工。1944 Premier公司開始生產克萊斯勒公司旗下的汽車例如道奇和普利茅斯,並於1960年代開始生產菲亞特產品[6]。根據2021年全國家庭健康調查,只有8%的印度家庭擁有汽車[7][8]。據政府統計,印度每1000人擁有22輛汽車[9][10]。
