安娜·卡文(Anna Kavan,1901年4月10日—1968年12月5日),英國小說家短篇小說作家畫家

生平

安娜·卡文出生在法國,是富裕冷淡雙親的唯一孩子,導致她終生苦於抑鬱症精神疾病。她生長在歐洲和美國,並曾住在緬甸

她結婚了又離婚兩次,一個兒子布萊恩於第二次世界大戰中喪生。她的女兒瑪格麗特在斯圖爾特埃德蒙茲出生,但分娩後不久去世。這對夫妻領養了一個女兒,命名為蘇珊娜。

她最初的六部小說以海倫·弗格森為筆名。安娜·卡文沉迷於海洛因,普遍被認為因吸食海洛因過量猝逝。事實上,她死於心臟衰竭,雖然她曾企圖自殺過數次。

她一直被人們與弗吉尼亞·伍爾夫阿娜伊斯·寧(Anaïs Nin)、Djuna Barnes、卡夫卡等人相互比較。
