乔·莫雷略
约瑟夫·阿尔伯特·莫雷略（英语：Joseph Albert Morello，1928年7月17日—2011年3月12日）是一位美国爵士鼓手，他在戴夫·布鲁贝克四人乐队中担任鼓手。莫雷略擅长以轻快的风格呈现一些不常见的拍号和节奏。其中最著名的是该系列的第一张专辑，即1959年的专辑《Time Out》，其中收录了热门歌曲“Take Five”和“Blue Rondo à la Turk”。这张专辑的热门单曲“Take Five”销量超过一百万张，由戴斯蒙构思乐曲基调，展示了莫雷略在

生平
他出生于美国马萨诸塞州斯普林菲尔德[4]，父亲是约瑟夫·莫雷略（Joseph Morello）和莉莲·拉帕尔姆（Lillian LaPalme）。他的父亲是来自尼斯的法国移民，他的母亲来自法属加拿大。莫雷略从小有部分视力模糊的问题[5]。六岁时，他开始学习小提琴。三年后，他成为波士顿交响乐团的独奏家，演奏门德尔松的小提琴协奏曲。
15岁时，莫雷略遇到了小提琴家雅沙·海飞兹（Jascha Heifetz），听到海飞兹的演奏后，莫雷略认为自己演奏小提琴的天赋不足，音色无法与海飞兹相提并论。因此，他转而学习打鼓，首次师从乔·瑟斐克（Joe Sefcik）﹑其次是爵士鼓教科书《Stick Control for the Snare Drummer》的作者乔治·劳伦斯·斯通（George Lawrence Stone）。斯通对莫雷略在打鼓节奏上的想法印象深刻，以至于他将这些想法融入了他的下一本书《Accents & Rebounds》，并把这本书送给莫雷略。莫雷略最后一位鼓乐导师为无线电城音乐厅乐手比利·格莱斯顿（Billy Gladstone）。
莫雷略在1956年加入戴夫·布鲁贝克四人乐队并成为正式鼓手，接替上任鼓手乔·道奇（Joe Dodge）。但在早期的合作中莫雷略与乐队中的萨克斯手戴斯蒙并不融洽。戴斯蒙认为莫雷略应保持简单的节奏为萨克斯和钢琴伴奏。但莫雷略并不赞同，他希望成为乐队的核心之一并向领袖布鲁贝克表达了这个想法。在莫雷略第一次与乐队同台演出时，布鲁贝克将莫雷略作为核心介绍，莫雷略当天的独奏得到观众热烈的反馈。作为乐队平时的核心，戴斯蒙并不满意这个变动，并曾以离开乐队威胁布鲁贝克辞退莫雷略。最终布鲁贝克将二人都留在乐队中，他们的紧张关系维持了数年，但双方最终和解并成为好友。[6]莫雷略出现在布鲁贝克的许多演出中，并与他合作制作了60多张专辑。在“Take Five”中，他轻快的演奏富有想像力，而且一直保持在5/4拍号。另一个单数拍号独奏的例子可以在“Unsquare Dance”中听到，他在7/4拍的曲子中只使用鼓棍而不使用鼓进行独奏。他还在“Blue Rondo à la Turk”、“Strange Meadow Lark”、“Pick-Up Sticks”和“Castilian Drums”中担任歌曲的核心部分。
在他的职业生涯中，莫雷略总共参与超过120多张专辑。他撰写了多本爵士鼓教学书，包括由 Modern Drummer Publications 出版的《Master Studies》，还制作了教学视频。莫雷略获得过许多奖项，包括连续七年获得《花花公子》杂志最佳鼓手奖，连续五年获得《Down Beat》杂志最佳鼓手奖。他于1988年入选《现代鼓手》杂志名人堂，1993年入选打击乐艺术协会名人堂，并于2010年6月获得哈德逊音乐学院首届 TIP（教师整合计划）终身成就奖[7][8]。
