妇女行动与研究协会

妇女行动与研究协会(英语:Association of Women for Action and Research;该会简称AWARE,意为“关注”)是新加坡一个为促进男女平等而设立的非政府组织,并在不同场合为女性发声。该组织于1985年9月25日正式成立。该组织现有550名成员。[1]

争议事件

2009年,该组织成星国媒体关注焦点。起因是刘鸣鹂(Josie Lau)女士所领导的基本教义派教会“新加坡救主堂英语Church of Our Saviour, Singapore”的女基督徒接管了该协会的执行委员会,宣称该协会有亲同性恋倾向。原领导层提出举行不信任动议投票。在进三千人加入该会之后,新执委会于2009年5月2日被投票罢免。[2] 在2,175投票会员中,1,414名投了不信任票。[3]
