异形晶(英语:Xenomorph (geology))是指一种矿物,其结晶时期比其他同存在一起的矿物较晚,因此没有空间形成其典型的晶体形式[1] 。异形晶是快速结晶的火山熔岩和浅层火成岩侵入体中典型的基质矿物[2]。 它也是沉积岩在成岩过程中形成的间隙或胶结矿物的典型特征[3]。 与异形晶相反的自形晶,其外部形态仅受自身晶体结构的控制。具有清晰、易于识别表面的晶体。在岩石中,若有自形晶,代表它们是在液态岩浆结晶的早期产物,或者在孔洞中的结晶,不受其他晶体在空间阻限制[4]
