苏丹金麻雀
苏丹金麻雀（学名：Passer luteus）是分布于撒哈拉以南地区的一种麻雀，因体色艳丽、叫声悦耳而成为一种受欢迎的笼鸟。其种加词在拉丁语中的意思是“橘黄”[2]。同属的阿拉伯金麻雀与它极为相似。

其种加词“luteus”意为“黄色的”。
形态
苏丹金麻雀是一种小型鸟，体长12—13厘米（4.7—5.1英寸），翼展5.7—7厘米（2.2—2.8英寸）。雄鸟头部和腹部羽毛金黄，翅膀和背部羽毛呈栗色。雌鸟和幼鸟羽毛颜色都很黯淡[3]。
