醋桿菌屬
醋杆菌科的一属细菌
醋桿菌屬(學名:Acetobacter),也稱醋酸桿菌屬,是紅螺菌目醋酸菌科的一屬好氧或兼性厭氧非發酵革蘭氏陰性桿菌。其特點是能夠在有空氣的條件下將乙醇轉化為乙酸。醋酸桿菌屬包含有多個種。很多其它的細菌也能在不同的條件下產生乙酸,但醋酸桿菌屬中的細菌只在這一個條件下。
