八碳化鉀

八碳化鉀是一種石墨層間化合物,化學式為KC8,最初於1926年被報道。[2]它可由化學計量比的石墨的迅速的放熱反應得到,產物為金色固體。[3]

性質

KC8具有很高的反應性,接觸空氣可以燃燒,因此需要在氮氣或惰性氣體中操作。[4]它是一種還原劑,例如,可以將[K(OSi(OtBu)3)3Th(μ-N3)3Th(OSi(OtBu)3)3(THF)]中的一個Th-N3-Th還原為Th=N=Th。[5]它也能用於製備有機亞錫化合物。[6]
