背景

2017年6月27日，瑞塔·奧拉在安娜貝爾的倫敦私人活動上首次表演了清音版的《Lonely Together》。[2]Avicii在Instagram上分享了一分鐘的小片段，標題為「新音樂很快很快很快就來！」[3]，同時將曲目作為井號話題發出[4][5]並加上了即將發行EP中的每首曲目的小廣告。[6][7][8]他這樣說此專輯：「我極其開心再次帶着音樂回來。自我發行曲目已經過了很長時間，而我又對新音樂激動不已！我推出的首張迷你專輯的重點放在對新老歌曲的混音上：粉絲已經詢問並等待許久了他們從未聽過的新老混音曲！」 [9][10]在BBC廣播一台的一次與皮特·塘（Pete Tong）的採訪中，艾維奇稱：「這是三張迷你專輯中的第一張，所以整張唱片將隨着第三張迷你專輯的發行而發行。」[11]。[12]
