- 中國大陸的官方譯名是「卡文迪許」，剛剛查辭海，Henry Cavendish譯作了亨利·卡文迪許。其他可作重定向。--Formulax 02:18 2005年1月9日 (UTC)
大廳？學堂？
學院的譯名怪裏怪氣的，建議hall譯成「堂」，如「三一堂」，可後加「學院」。Hall絕對不是「大廳」之意，而是取「禮堂」之意。今日香港大學也有類似制度，Hall是學生住宿和生活、學習之地，凡是hall中文皆譯為「堂」。Chungpui 15:18 2005年6月16日 (UTC)
