生平

她出生於英國倫敦漢普斯特德花園郊區[1][3],父親是意大利猶太人,猶太人大屠殺倖存者,母親是蘇格蘭人[4],其母在她一歲時皈依猶太教[5],她自己也是一個改良猶太教信徒,曾就讀於薩塞克斯大學法語文學專業和密德薩斯大學電影錄像專業[3]。她早期靠拍攝《觀察家報》、飛利浦等公司的商業宣傳片謀生,其電影處女作是《情人最愛》(1998)[6]
