功能

由這種無內含子基因編碼的蛋白質是一種bZIP轉錄因子,它可以作為同源二聚體與某些DNA調節區結合。它還可以與相關蛋白C/EBP-α形成異二聚體。編碼的蛋白質在調節參與免疫炎症反應的基因中很重要,並且可能參與調節與巨噬細胞活化和/或分化相關的基因。[7]

CEBPD參與細胞凋亡細胞增殖的調節。它可能充當腫瘤抑制因子[8]

一項針對小鼠的研究表明,CEBPD在慢性阻塞性腎病進展過程中可防止腎小管損傷和腎小管間質纖維化的發展。[9]

CEBPD基因的功能可以通過基於獨立驗證的siRNA敲低來有效檢查。[10]

相互作用

CEBPD已被證明能與SMAD3相互作用。[11]
