努里斯坦人

努里斯坦人,是分布于阿富汗努尔斯坦省印欧语系居民,人口125,000-300,000人,主要使用的语言为努利斯坦语言。在19世纪90年代中期,杜兰线确立后,阿布杜尔·拉赫曼汗对该国东北部当时仍保持异教信仰的卡非尔斯坦实施军事行动,使当地居民信仰伊斯兰教,并改名为努尔斯坦省,即“光明之地”的意思。在改宗伊斯兰教前,他们信奉伊朗-印度的吠陀宗教,非穆斯林宗教习俗在今天仍有一定保留。努里斯坦人主要是农民,牧民和奶农。在阿富汗,由于多年战争,努尔斯坦一直是主要战场已导致许多努里斯坦人死亡,加上其他阿富汗民族进入该地生活,使他们与其他阿富汗人区别已减少。
