游戏玩法
玩家在游戏中扮演一名药剂师，被派往城镇酿造药水，但必须与当地居民打好关系，才能获得所需的材料；受委任务包括装饰房子、翻新设备、捉住某人等，且都具有时间（日夜）限制。玩法主要由动作角色扮演元素组成，次要游戏元素多用于非战斗操作，如制作药水。[2]其他游戏元素来自觅食系统，以及与非玩家角色（NPC）的社交[3]。
开发及发行
《杏林物语》由MassHive Media工作室在印尼万隆开发，灵感来自《星露谷物语》和《夜勤人》等游戏[4]。该游戏消息于2020年9月对外公开[5]。发行商PQube2022年6月22日发表了预告片[6]。
该游戏2022年9月22日发售，登陆平台包括Microsoft Windows、Nintendo Switch、PlayStation 4、PlayStation 5、Xbox One及Xbox Series X/S，2022年9月23日登陆Amazon Luna[3][7][8]。2023年11月10日。官方宣布游戏定于2024年2月6日登陆移动设备（iOS、Android）[9]。

《杏林物语》据评论汇总网站Metacritic显示，在业界口碑“好坏两极分化”[10][12][11]。GameSpot网站赞扬了游戏的美学和叙事，但也指出一些角色塑造存在缺乏特色的问题[15]。Nintendo Life网站在评论中同样赞扬了游戏的美学以及内置的小游戏，同时批评了整体难度偏低[13]。
GameSpot、Destructoid和Push Square网站皆点出诸多错误是一大扣分项[3][14][15]；例如，TouchArcade网站发现Switch硬件上的性能问题可能会导致小游戏的计时出错[18]。
