基思·塞爾夫

基思·艾倫·塞爾夫（英語：Keith Alan Self，1953年3月20日—）為美國共和黨籍政治人物，曾擔任縣法官，後於2022年在德克薩斯州第三國會選區當選聯邦眾議員。

早年生活和教育

基思·塞爾夫於1953年出生在位於費城的一家軍事醫院，後畢業於位於德克薩斯州阿馬里洛的塔斯科薩高中。[1][2]之後塞爾夫進入西點軍校就讀，並於1975年獲得了工程學理學學士學位。[3][4]

職業生涯

塞爾夫於1975年至1999年間在美國陸軍服役，先後成為遊騎兵以及特種部隊成員，並曾被派遣至卡達、埃及、德國、阿富汗和比利時。[2]退役後，塞爾夫又曾在德克薩斯州科林縣擔任縣法官。隨後，塞爾夫參與了2022年德克薩斯州第三國會選區的聯邦眾議員選舉。雖熱他在5月份的初選中得票次於現任議員范·泰勒位居第二[5]，但由於范·泰勒涉嫌性醜聞而被迫退選，因此塞爾夫最終獲得了共和黨提名。[6][7]在11月份的決選中，塞爾夫輕鬆贏得了這一席位並隨後於2023年1月3日就任。[8]

聯邦眾議員任內

在2023年美國眾議院議長選舉中，塞爾夫先是支持吉姆·喬丹，後轉而支持拜倫·唐納茲，以表達對凱文·麥卡錫的不滿。[9][10][11]塞爾夫曾表示自己喜歡美國眾議院的新規，並希望選出能夠執行這些新規的人。[9]不過在第12輪投票時，塞爾夫還是把票投給了麥卡錫[12]，是15名改變最初投票的共和黨人之一。[11][12]在塞爾夫等人的投票支持下，麥卡錫最終於1月7日當選眾議院議長。[13][14]

儘管第118屆國會本應在1月3日召開，但由於議長選舉的緣故，塞爾夫直至1月7日才正式宣誓就職。[15][9]
