艷織雀屬
織布鳥科的一個屬
艷織雀屬（學名：Foudia）是雀形目織布鳥科之下一個體型細小的鳥類的屬。這個屬由德意志帝國的博物學家路德維希·賴興巴赫於1850年建立[1]，模式種是紅艷織雀[2][3]。

語源
形態描述
體長12至15公分（4.7至5.9英寸），有短而帶錐形的喙。
分佈
牠們是西印度洋的特有物種，分佈於西起葛摩群島、馬達加斯加、塞席爾及馬斯克林群島。本屬的red fody亦很可能曾被運往查戈斯群島、巴林及聖赫倫那，在這三地成為了外來物種。儘管這個物種在整個西印度洋很常見，但本屬的其他物種在IUCN都被分類為受威脅物種，當中模里西斯艷織雀更被分類為瀕危物種，主要原因是牠們的棲息地受到破壞。
