Misfit Wearables, 也簡稱為 Misfit, 是一間同時兼具設計和製造實力的硬體產品製造公司。其利用感應式科技研發並製造出可穿戴式產品。[1][2][3][4][5] Misfit 推出的第一個產品為 "Shine",是一款人體活動及睡眠跟蹤器。它能追蹤使用者身體的活動及運動量,並藉由 IOS或Android App應用軟體提供給用戶包括步數統計、卡路里消耗量、移動距離及淺深層睡眠時間統計等數據。[6][7][8] Misfit是由Sonny Vu 、 Sridhar Iyengar和 John Sculley 所共同創立的公司。[9][10] 在這之前, Sonny Vu 和Sridhar Iyengar 一起創立了 AgaMatrix, 其公司生產的iBGStar血糖測量儀是第一個被美國食品藥品監督管理局(FDA) 所認可的使用在iPhone上的醫療設備。[2][11][12] John Sculley 是蘋果前執行長。[2] Sonny Vu 是Misfit Wearables 現任總裁及執行長。[13] 2015年11月13日被化石集團以2.6億美元全資收購。

品牌歷史

Misfit Wearables成立於2011年10月。[14] Misfit名稱的緣由是因公司成立的當天也同時是 Steve Jobs過世的同一天,故公司取名為"Misfit"以茲紀念Steve Jobs。[4][5] "Misfit"此一詞的靈感來源是來自1997年蘋果公司"Think Different"口號首次亮相的廣告旁白 "Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes."[12]

Misfit Wearables的第一個產品"Shine"於2012年首次公開於群眾募資平台 Indiegogo。[5][11] 在10小時之內, Shine的募資活動即達成$100,000美金的募款目標,更繼續在兩個月內, 募到$846,675 美金。[6][11] 在此同時,Misfit 的共同合伙人也利用群眾募資活動進行產品調查以及運動追蹤之可穿式產品的市場調查。[15]

至2012年四月,Misfit在A輪投資募到$760萬美金的融資。[2][6] 2013年12月,Misfit更在B輪投資為它預計在2014年發行的產品募得$1520萬美金的研發融資。[16] 由香港企業家李嘉誠旗下的維港投資領投B輪投資,其聯合投資方還包括矽谷風投機構和可口可樂公司。先前的投資方包括 Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, Max Levchin 和IncTank等公司也都繼續參與B輪投資。[6][9]

Shine

材質採用航空級鋁合金的Shine是一款能提供穿戴者關於其運動及睡眠時間等數據的運動跟蹤器。[15][17] Misfit Wearables 並發布能支持Shine來同步追蹤健身目標的 iPhone app應用軟體。[18][19] 2013年12月, Misfit 也推出Shine的Android app應用軟體。[6][7] Shine 能用來追蹤包括健走、跑步、騎自行車、游泳和睡眠等各式各樣的運動。[4][15] Shine 更能進一步追蹤使用者睡眠的深淺。雖然只有像硬幣這麼大,Shine卻能有非常多元有型的穿搭方式。它可以穿戴成手環或項鍊,也可以利用有磁性的夾子搭配在衣飾上。[18][20] 就性能方面, Shine具有極佳的防水功能,能配戴至50米深的水域。Shine也同時具有超長的電池續航力,不需經常性的充電。[20][21]
