Template:ME-date

This template inserts a date for an event in the fictional history of Middle-earth. These dates are formatted to follow the standards at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Middle-earth/Standards#Dates. Please see that page for information on when this template and other 'date links' should be used. In general, this template should be used only to clarify cases where a few dates in an article or section apply to a different 'age' than the rest. Thus, it should not appear at all in most Middle-earth articles and only once or twice in those articles where it is needed.

Usage:
{{ME-date|<age>|<year>}} or {{ME-date|age=<age>|year=<year>}}

Both parameters are optional. The <year> should be a numeric value and the <age> any of the following;

巨灯纪	L, YL, Y.L., or Lamps
双树纪	T, YT, Y.T., or Trees
太阳纪	1, YS, Y.S., 1st, or Sun
第二纪元	2, SA, S.A., 2nd, or Second
第三纪元	3, TA, T.A., 3rd, or Third
第四纪元	4, FA, F.A., 4th, or Fourth
夏尔纪年	S, SR, S.R., or Shire
