拟髭蟾属(学名:Leptobrachium)是无尾目角蟾科的一属动物,原髭蟾属Vibrissaphora)已并入该属[1][2]

分布

本属物种分布于华南印度东北东南亚巽他陆棚上的岛屿,以及菲律宾[3]。它们的特点是有结实的身体和细长的后肢[4]

形态特征

本属物种眼睛虹膜的颜色是分辨各物种的关键:例如波普拟髭蟾波普拟髭蟾)就有一双蓝眼睛;有些物种的虹色单一,但也有物种的虹蟆只有上半圈有颜色,而下半圈只有深色[5]

 
一只在繁殖高峰期的雄性峨嵋髭蟾Leptobrachium boringii),其婚婚刺清晰可见,而这婚刺亦是过往分辨髭蟾属和拟髭蟾属物种的形态特征[6]

拟髭蟾属的姐妹群、跟拟髭蟾属位处同一演化支的包括有齿突蟾属齿蟾属[3][7]

本属已确认的亚属有以下两个[3]

这两者的差异,就只是在形态上它们的雄性动物的上唇在繁殖季节有没有长出婚刺英语nuptial pad。 后来的遗传分析不支持过往这种基于形态的分离,但仍然表明存在两个不同的演化支,所以把两支演化支视为同属的亚属比较合适。从生物地理学来说,两者在地理上也有不同的分布:Vibrissaphora亚属分布于华南及中南半岛,而指名亚属分布于马来半岛华莱士线西北方的马来群岛[5]。除此以外,两者并没有其他在形态学上可分辨的特征[8]
